High Water Pressure Situation
In recent weeks several owners noted high home water pressure, and in response to requests Washington Water sent a technician here to measure pressures at several homes. Only a small number of homes at “downhill” locations at the bottom of hills (136th St, 138th St, and 139th St), exhibited pressures above 80 psi. WWS is willing to help affected owners here in Pt. Richmond Ridge by supplying a pressure regulator valve (PRV) or reimbursing owners who have installed valves recently. The procedure is:
1. For owners who have not yet purchased/installed a pressure reducing valve (PRV), WWS will deliver a PRV at no cost; owners will have to provide for installation. The procedure is call the main phone number at WWS: 1-877-408-4060, identify yourself as an owner in PRRHOA affected with excessive water pressure, and request a PRV delivery. Most of the phone team have been briefed and will understand the context for your request, but if you reach someone who seems unfamiliar with our situation, please ask to speak with Sarah, Customer Service Manager.
2. For owners who were proactive and already paid for purchase/installation of a PRV, the company will issue a credit of $164.00 on your monthly service account. The procedure is similar: call the main number and explain your situation, then request a credit. Obviously, it will help if you have your account number handy, but street address also works. They will ask for your street address and a copy of a receipt/check (by mail, email, or left at the company’s night drop box.)
